#330788 Disciplinary procedure

Posted by ron on 20 May 2012 - 08:29 AM

Could anyone tell me please if there is any precedents where a 15 year old girl strikes an opponent after the match. The girl in question got suspended from all football activities sine die with no review for 2 years. She had an excellent disciplinary record with no previous record of any bad behavior. I believe she has been discriminated against because she is a girl and this punishment wouldn't be given to a boy or even in the mens game.

Saw him on HMV in Oxford Street on Sunday. The moment I saw him I was just filled with disgust. I gritted my teeth and just kept my eyes on him. In the most bizarre of locations to go to, he was also looking through his CD collection.

The staff noticed him as well, and he realised everybody was looking at him and promptly left.

Corporal punishment.. when you hit a child, what are you teaching them? That hitting someone when you perceived they've done wrong is okay. Which more often than not leads to them growing thinking domestic violence is fine.

#264986 Would you want to win the lottery?

Posted by Miner 2049er on 12 July 2011 - 04:25 PM

Having considered the options carefully I'd very much like to win 166 million. Tbh I don't bother playing it until the jackpot hits 50 million as anything less than that just isn't worth winning really, small change.

#251392 Spurs want Man City-Stoke moved

Posted by Panto on 19 April 2011 - 01:51 PM

I think Levy and Harry are onto something here. I reckon we would have a much fairer league system if no league match rearrangement could happen without Spurs' approval. Even better, Spurs should control the fixture list. Maybe they should also decide on league placings due to the unfairness in their underachievement of the past 100 years coupled with Arsenal's overachievement of the last 100 years. They should also pick where they want to build a new stadium, as it's unfair they cannot move into another teams borough and knock down a 500 million tax funded stadium and destroy all legacy of the Olympics.

#269122 Andy Gray Replacement

Posted by Higgy on 08 August 2011 - 06:27 PM

I really dislike Alan Smith. not only is his voice incredibly dull, but he has no personality and his analysis is normally pretty poor IMO. Ray Wilkins has been alright. He's not great but he's been the best of the bunch so far and could grow with more games.

They can ffuk right off with this. I love International tournaments because you can watch game after game after game, I always watch every match of every tournament, I don't have sky. As has been mentioned it's their job to make sure everyone in the world gets to enjoy football yet they keep trying to take football away from people who have no money. FIFA... FFUK OFF :upyours

#234347 Gray and Keys in trouble over sexist remarks

Posted by Panto on 25 January 2011 - 03:55 PM

A complete over-reaction for me. Was it really that sexist? Was it really any different from the bints on Loose Women mocking that men can't multi task?

If they had commented on her tits, or said that she should be making the half time drinks, then I'd understand. Yes what they said was naughty but come on, was it really worth all this ffuking hoo-ha. I agree, PC gone mad.

Obviously you have no understanding of sexist.

Sexism isn't simply the view of women as objects. They said that she got the offside decision wrong because she was a woman and they did not understand the offside rule. No joke, no sarcasm, no off the cuff remark. This rant by the 2 of them, and I think it is fairly clear to call it a rant, was over something as trivial as someone being or not being offside. Something that happens in every game practically, someone being judged to be offside when they are not or judged to be onside when they are off. We do get annoyed about it, and sometimes we'll say a line along the lines off "what is this referee on?", but never once, do we go into a rant as vitriolic and as slanderous and daming as they did here; over an offside decision. This wasn't a goal that should have been given, this wasn't a call for referees to have video technology to support them, this wasn't a dive that resulted in a penalty. This was a decision that happens in nearly every game. And she was ridiculed for it by these 2 simply, and plainly, because she was a woman. No other reason for it. There was no need to bring the sex of any individual into the situation. It was pathetic.

The term "political correctness gone mad", once a correct view on how matters have gone awry, has now seemingly in my opinion being used by people as a way to defend their own bigotry.

#230406 HODGSON AGAIN

Posted by Panto on 02 January 2011 - 01:04 PM

Busby
Ferg****n
Shankley
Houlier
Moyes
Keegan
RAFA

just a few examples of Mangers coming to their new club and embracing the fans and their clubs history.
You telling me Ferg***n didnt bother to get what ManU were about when he joined? and i Intend to knock LFC off their fuckin perch comment, its what we as fans like to hear.

This could be one of the most laughable lists in the world.

Shankly and Busby practically created their clubs histories. There wasn't all that much to embrace.

Keegan did not embrace any of the clubs history that existed well over 40 years prior. The history of Newcastle had nothing to do with attacking football, it didn't exist there before Keegan, and it didn't have anything to do with them being title challengers, because they hadn't been for an extremely long time before.

Ferguson went to his club and embraced the tradition? Stop talking nonsense. Ferguson was hounded and ridiculed for 6 years, the first 5 being trophyless and the 6th year alot of people still thinking that an FA Cup victory still wasn't good enough for him to keep his job. When he won things, he turned that opinion around.

Houllier embraced the clubs he has been to how? How did he do that at Lyon and Villa? Rubbish. And how did he do it at Liverpool? By going behind the back of his co-Manager (a man from the Boot Room).

The ones you could have mentioned for Liverpool that were passable were Fagan, Paisley and Dalglish, but there was not a mention at all about them, instead just drivel .
