City deserved that for spending all week talking about how bad they want to win the title against United, it's like they hadn't even thought about this game. Why Liverpool had to spoil it by arranging for their fans to mob the team bus was a shame though, you'd hope they'd want set a better example on the European stage.

Think City will probably still somehow manage go through but it wont really matter, can only see one of Madrid or Barca winning it to be honest.

This deserves a place on here

Outstanding performance from Liverpool.
Looking like a tasty semi final line up of four past winners.
Real Madrid
Barcelona
Liverpool
Bayern Munich

How many titles do that four have between them?

Got to agree The European Elite.

Surprisingly my brother in law & his mates enjoyed the match despite seeing their beloved City get beat. The atmosphere inside Anfield was both crazy & fantastic & after a few Guinness's my fog horn vocal chords were suitably well oiled and I sang & shouted the whole match, even the crazy Welsh lady who babbles on in her native tongue throughout every match was speaking English at the end. However despite the euphoria it is only half time & if any team can overcome a 3 goal deficit then it is City. Hopefully they should get a bag full against United on Saturday, clinch the title & then all go out on the beer until Tuesday

The only fly in the ointment was the "knobeads"  who pelted the City bus. CCTV will identify them & banning orders will rid us of these Neanderthals.

Great performance from Liverpool and I'm absolutely astonished City didn't score against their defence, especially given how sloppy they were at times against Everton. Alexander-Arnold was excellent in particular.

I'm still not convinced it's over yet, but Liverpool in such a commanding position.

Seen City play in the "flesh" 3 times this season & each time they have been beaten (us twice & Wigan) so I am distraught that I will not be going tonight because my brother in law has given my ticket to another City fan. Anyway I would have been amongst the City fans & would have to be very quiet which in a big match like this would have been very difficult.

Normally with a 3 goal lead I would be supremely confident but as it's City, & seriously stung City at that & our defence which has issues & a history of throwing away 3 goal leads I am not that confident. The only thing I am confident about is that it will be a great match & at the end the victors will be able to sing that old terrace classic from back in the 70' / 80's "There is only one team in Europe, There is only one team in Europe"

I think City will win tonight but I think Liverpool will score and I just can't see City get all those goals

Roma woke up and Barcelona sleeped until it was too late. Really bad perfomance in the whole series for catalanes, were eaten in the midfield and almost entirely slow. Messi did what his part I could spot 3 or 4 passes that put Suarez, Sergi Roberto (twice) and Jordi Alba face to face with Allison, anyway you don't expect he plays so far the goal line. It was weird to see Suarez and Messi chasing the ordered players of Roma who dealed better the ball. Busquets and Iniesta are done, Andre Gomes and Demebele are really bad incorporations.

City was a beast in the first half, I can assure that deserved to equal the total result in a 3 to 3 given the penalty, a goal incorrectly invalidated and many others situatons. The second part was Liverpool proof of character and that you have to take the opportunities to win something.

It's hilarious to think that very recently people were already calling City the best English team ever :rofl

"One team in Europe there is only one team in Europe!"

After 2 minutes the world fell out of my arse & I watched the rest of the half from behind the couch terrified & expecting City to take us to the cleaners & they should have as well. We had some lucky escapes & some favourable decision from the officials, something you never hear United fans say?

In the end I took the dog out for a walk & eventually ended up in the pub just as Mo slotted home the goal that knocked the stuffing out of City. So I had to stay & have a drink or 3

Overall Liverpool where magnificent over the 2 legs & deserved to go through & at the moment we must be the best team on the planet.& I'm making plans to go to Kiev for the final that is if I can get out the wife's nephews wedding in Scotland. Could they move it to Kiev?

Almost happens the same as in Rome, still the referee didn't allow it. If he hadn't give that penalty I don't think there would have been much to say.

Juventus were unlucky & Real were lucky lucky. Bayern were boring.

I only fear Roma who looked ruthless & brutal.

I fear them all, but I'm equally confident we can beat any of them.

So Bayern Munich v Real Madrid and Roma v Liverpool.

Obviously I hope Liverpool don't win it, but it is refreshing to see them and Roma in the semi-finals to keep things a little fresh. Probably the best semi-final line up IMO in terms of narrative. I think we're looking at a Bayern Munich v Liverpool final...

Also interesting that the American owner of Roma also owns Boston Celtics, while the American owner of Liverpool owns the Boston Red Sox.

Roma is possibly the worst team we could have drawn. They played a very cynical home game against Barcelona & at times were brutal which the officials appeared to ignore. The first leg is at Anfield but I suspect that the main action will be the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.?

So far Roma have failed to beat Liverpool in all our meetings in Europe lets hope it continues.

I think this Liverpool side is capable of beating anyone on their day, still very nervous about tonight though.
