Why Mohamed Salah is proving to be Liverpool's best goalscorer since Luis Suarez, plus interesting statistics from the weekend's games.

He's been excellent since he joined and I was a little sceptical at first. Some of the numbercrunchers in the summer cited Salah as one of the few major transfers that was actually good value.

I can't remember Suarez starting anywhere near this well, he came in mid season and started rather slowly if I remember right.

He was the understudy to Andy Carroll...

It's crazy to think there was a time when Andy Carroll cost more than Luis Suarez.

Mo needs to use his right foot more & then he will be the complete player. I'm made up with him & he appears to be getting better each game.

If only he could have scored with those chances he had against Man City then things may well have been different?

He was incredibly productive with Roma and he's just carried on in the same way at Liverpool, hell of a signing.

Agreed that his signing was a great bit of business by Liverpool.

Somewhat jealous.

I'd say best summer transfer in the Premiership so far this season. I, like many realised his record at Roma was no fluke and needed attention brought to it.

You can gleefully ignore his spell at Chelsea, because so many amazing talents have either fell under the radar there or gone (after an amazing career, to die and never recover at a playable age). There is life after Chelsea, it's generally a lot more prosperous.

Lukaku, De Bruyne and Salah all on Chelsea's books at some point. Appreciate they all needed spells at Everton, Wolfsburg and Roma to demonstrate their qualities, but that's pretty poor from the club to let all three go.

They let Matic go. Twice.

Not a smart club.

Look at the established stars Chelsea have ruined aswell, Shevchenko, Torres, Crespo, Falcao et al, thats no fluke.

When it comes to Salah using both feet to become 'the complete player', that is not necessary, as Bernardo Silva proves quite adequately.

I would hate for the guy who made those calls to be managing my club.

What about all the other aforementioned times, no matter if that was young prospects that Chelsea have wasted or the talented proven talents in which have died a death at Stamford Bridge.

This is not about Mourinho, in which you indicated to United fans I decipher Mark, you should look at the broarder spectrum, other Chelsea managers (many of them have screwed up on this recruitment model).

I wont be ignored within this repetitive miriage of Liverpool v Man Utd shit, it aint about those two teams all the time, listen to some other fuckers. There are many threads to utilise your Man Utd vs Liverpool bollocks, near enough every thread on here, so please for God sake use them and not every single thread because you do not have enough extensive knowledge to mention anything else football related.

I'm sorry, and i'll probably be banned through this, however it is so United/Liverpool it is ridiculous.

You managed to decipher that did you? What clue gave it away? Having a rant about me going off topic is kind of pathetic in a thread about a Liverpool player that you tried to make about Chelsea, threads go off topic and if a United fan mentions three players that Mourinho released I'm gonna have a dig, it's the nature of football fans.

Yup glad to see some Truth being bestowed. Liverpool fans are weirdly obsessed.

Good assessment of Chelsea too.

Nice to see the threads about a quality player at Liverpool who wasnt signed from Southampton. The scouts must have had a trip to Italy for his time at Roma, saying that though they probably didnt have to leave their sofa as you can catch Serie A on BT sport.
