I am using Firefox on a Mac. No, this is the only one I use.

It could possibly be a virus checker problem, I have heard there are problems when using zone Alarm and firefox, do you use zone alarm?
Also your cookie folder might be corrupt, perhaps clean it up

Are you using the ffukmegged.invisionthingymabob address? Everytime I use that one it has me logged out, footballforumuk.com doesnt.

Try clearing your Firefox FFUK cookies Grog and then log in again.
If unsure go to:
Firefox/Preferences/Privacy
Then you will see an option for removing individual cookies, then delete the Football Forum UK one.
