I Answer a question which was made in the old topic..

Straqualursi is a lucky striker, I think it wasn't the best of the 2010...He is an average striker, I am very surprised now, I can't believe he is in the premier league now

Everton are also keen to sign BK Hacken's Sweden Under-19 internationals Nikola Laden and Emilio Rossi - as are Sunderland.

Well I'm glad to see the back of him although I can honestly see him becoming a half decent player for Everton.

Not good enough for a top two team but from what I know of him he'll do for a team at our current level. Able to pick a pass, decent shot on him too which should add a bit more variation to our play. No doubt some people, including our own fans, will adopt the mentality of thinking he's shit because he's been in United's Carling Cup team for so long but plenty said similar when we signed Howard and Neville. Also, if we have only paid the rumoured £500k then it could be a bargain.

We also just desperately need new faces and to start building a new team, so he's at the right age to potentially play a good role in the future.

He was never good enough for United, but should do well for Everton, especially at that price. I think it's a shame he never left a little earlier to get regular football like Trapattoni urged him to.

Very strong rumours that we will be using the money from Bilyaletdinov's sale to buy Jelavic from Rangers.

Do you think he will be able to cut it south of the border?

Yeah I do, he's decent but needs a bit of work on his fitness and attitude. He's strong , good in the air, can hold the ball up well and has a decent shot on him. I'll be sorry to see him go. I'm not sure how keen he will be to come to you though, he's already said he wants to move to London and QPR and West Ham are both keen on him. As are Liverpool and Spartak Moscow if you believe the papers.

I can't believe he'd go to West Ham over us, London or not. QPR would probably offer higher wages than us.

He seems to score a variety of goals which is nice to see, ranging from free-kicks and bicycle kicks to close-range finishes where he holds the defenders off well.

Anyone half decent would be better than most of our options at the moment so fingers crossed he'll sign. Still in shock that we appear to be spending money on a player though.

I think Gers have been resigned to losing him but we realise we are now a selling club and 7 or 8 mill for a player that cost you 4 and helped bring the title is a good bit of business. No one is irreplaceable and I'm sure we will go right back out and get someone else decent in. The only issue is that by the time this deal is done , unless we have a player or two lined up, it will be too late.

Sky Sports are reporting that a fee has been agreed.

There are also plenty of insinuations this end that Rangers still owe us £1.5m from the Michael Ball transfer (completed over ten years ago!) that has composed part of the fee. Astonishing if true.

The BBC are reporting that a fee has been agreed and now it’s just the formality of agreeing terms.

I can only see this being a good buy for Everton especially if they have got the price knocked down for money owed (as you have to wonder how likely it is they would have ever got the money back anyway). They definitely need a reliable striker after losing so many front men in the summer.
