I want to put a gif as an avatar but it won't upload.

It is size 290 x 337 pixels. Is it possible to resize it?

It might be because it's too big a file size, gifs are generally fine so it's not the file format.

What app did you try resizing it in when it turned to a still? - Needs to be animation app of some sort to keep all the frame information once saved.

I used to have Image Ready which would have done the trick but don't have it on this Mac anymore, hopefully someone will offer their help for you.

The gig loads as an animated picture but it then changes into a still picture. I tried 100 x 100 and it does exactly the same.
