Newcastle's Demba Ba says Senegalese team-mate and new £10m signing Papiss Demba Cisse is a "proper goalscorer".

Well if he's a proper goal scorer then we better watch out. If he's just a normal goalscorer doubt anyone will take notice.

:wow

After he missed that free header I was a bit worried that he'll take time to settle. Awesome finish from the lad for the winner. Might take some time to get adjusted but he seems to have brought his scoring boots with him.

He looks like he has the effort and work rate to succeed. I just hope he's half as good as Ba has proven to be.. Time will tell..

Was some finish on Sunday, if he can do that on a regular basis then he'll do just fine! Goal like that at home on his debut would do wonders for his confidence and for settling down into the Premiership. If him and Ba can stay fit they could be quite the partnership!

Was a crackin goal. Don't see the partnership between Ba and Cisse lasting long as I reckon if Ba continues his form until the end of the season I can see the likes of Spurs or Chelsea coming in for him.

I think Cisse could go on to be a more consistent goal scorer than Ba anyway. Ba has had a great season no doubt about it but Cisse has always scored goals and his record in Germany was pretty decent. I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be able to match that over here.

I think we have a good chance of signing Ba on a new contract this summer. We're doing well and have just shown intent by signing Cisse. It won't be about money. Obviously a chance to play on the CL has a lot of pull.

Even Europa League I think would be enough to keep Ba. He's enjoying life in Newcastle and now he's got his friend here I really can't see him moving on in the summer.

While I am optimistic, I think it's fair to remember that both Ba and Cisse have come a long way through the Franch leagues and Germany to England. It's difficult to find reasons why they'd stop at Newcastle if there is a chance to step another level higher.

We'll see, I'm not too worried as in a sence we have one to lose.

A lot is going to rest on where you finish this season I suppose. How's that feeling anyway? I guess toon fans must still be living on cloud9 at the moment as ffukin nobody saw this coming and even when it started to look like it might just fall apart your still sat nicely right up there and rightly so as they've held their own so well.

I've always said that I am happy when there is progress. I'm not that much interested in short term issues like how high we finish in the table this season. The game will tell you everything and our game this season has been phenomenal. Pardew said before the season that he wanted to change they way we play and he's certainly done that. Also I don't think that finishing 7th or higher would ensure us a status that would help us keep our best players. Our best players are only going to clubs that play in the Champions League and there's ffuk all we can do to stop that. All we need to worry about is the transfer fee and the replacements. In the latter we've also been incredibly good. In my time we have never signed this well. Succeeding looks ffuking easy when you have a manager that can succesfully change your tactics and the key players putting that into practice in one summer. In my eyes its all about Pardew and the people that are helping him find the right players for the club.

I think we're a top 10 team next season no matter what happens. And if we sign well there's room for improvement but there's no reason to be dissapointed if need to take a step back before we can forward again.

As it looks we're in a good position to get into europe. That tends to bring its own problems to be fair. I believe Pardew is not too used to that either and it's worth noting that we're out of all the cup competitions this season. Against Blackburn and Brighton.
