With Redknapp either being found guilty and sacked in his trial, or found not guilty and becoming England manager, it's pretty odds on he won't be Spurs manager next season.

I'm hoping Christian Gross has another stab at it, or they put David Pleat in as he is back as a scout.

If Mourinho doesn't get the Chelsea job then he would be strong favourite should the job come up surely?

Surely he'll only go to a big club?

I seem to recall that they have courted Martin O’Neil in the past, although I just can’t see O’Neil walking out on Sunderland (well not until he’s been there a few seasons anyway.

Spurs have some big players with big European reputations, I thing they would be concerned that two or three of them could well follow “Arry” out of the door, so I should imagine that they would go for an established European manager with a track record of handling big players.

Harry won't go to prison, he will get a big fine. This will rule him out of the England job while keeping his place at Spurs keeping the Spurs fans happy.

I just want Harry to go as he's the likely culprit to come after Ba and some others.

Which ever manager follows Harry will find it hard but I would guess Mourinho, I think he would do a good job with the quality of players Spurs currently have.

Yeah whoever gets the job next is on a bit of a hiding to nothing as Harry has realistically taken them as far as they can go unless major investment comes in.

Welcome to the forums BTW!

I don't see any reason why Spurs could not go further with a good manager. The world is full of good players and there is no way in hell that the top 3-4 teams could get them all. The 25 man squad rule made it even a little bit easier. The only meaningfull threshold is a CL qualification, and if the teams qualifying start to mix a bit the distance to the next best will be a bit smaller. If joining Liverpool gives you only a 65% chance of playing the the CL you might as well go to Tottenham. Having a top 3 is not too bad as there's that 4th spot available that will take you to the CL.

But sure it would be easier to take Spurs backwards than forwards. They would struggle to get a manager as good as Harry, so that's another reason I'm hoping to see that happen.

I agree which ever manager takes over it will be hard to take Spurs further without significant investment but I do believe that there are other managers who have the ability to better what Harry has done so far even though it will be a tall order!

And thank you!

Will a fine really rule Harry out of the England job? I could understand if he had a custodial sentence that that would rule him out but if it's only a fine.

Managing England destroys reputations though, it will take the next guy to be a disaster before everyone realises Capello was alright.

Should Harry take the England job before the end of the season who'd replace him at Spurs?

If Harry leaves before the end of the season theres not much in the way of choices at the minute. I could see Bond or Jordan stepping in as a filler although Hiddink is available.

I'd like to nominate Sam Allardyce.
