:manutd V :liverpool

The weekends big game. Man Utd will need (and expect) to win to keep in touch with their city rivals at the top of the table but Liverpool have looked better against the top teams this season as well as looking better away, so this could throw up a surprise.
It will be interesting to see if Suarez starts, I certainly expect him to feature at some stage.

Yep Mr Suarez is going to get a ton of boos etc in this one. With Evra getting booooos all game at Anfield afraid this is going to be the same just hoping it doesnt get out of hand, both players can shake hands and just get on with it.

Too close to call really could go any which way really. With tinted glasses on looking for a United thrashing but cant see it, will be tight affair getting more open in 2nd half United to win a scrappy encounter at times but decent game 3-2

Liverpool always make it tough for Utd and I think they will do so again, will go for a 1-1 draw.

Yeah we don't have Ferguson, because their playing personell doesnt have much quality either. I predict Kenny to install his usual big game mentality and us to win 1-2.

It's a big game for Man United in the title race as they won't want to give City a bigger lead and if they win here it would put pressure on City for a tough away trip to Villa. I think the game will be close and can see a draw or a narrow Man United win as the likely outcome.

One of those games again when a United win won't actually disappoint me too much, that or a draw would be good.

Be surprised if Suarez starts, can see him on the bench at first myself.

Well we do have a much better team than Liverpool, hence being so very far ahead of them, and based on the game at Anfield we should be able to win this one. Obviously with it being a match all about rivalry all of that goes out of the window and it doesn't become about quality or form it's can simply be about who wants it more which is why these games are impossible to call.

I expect us to be raring to go for this one though, no reason why we shouldn't be able to win fairly comfortably.

I stand by the fact your team is only slightly better than Liverpool's or Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal's for that matter, you just have a far better man in charge, whichever team out of those four five Ferguson was in charge of would finish second this season, obviously he is still no Alan Pardew.

How many of your current lot would of gotten into your better teams of the past 20 years?

To my eyes the only players with real quality are Evra, Nani, Vidic and Rooney, I know Jones has a mountain of potential and is already very good, but compared to 2008 Rio? Liverpool have Reina, Gerrard and Suarez of that quality, Chelsea have Mata, Cole and a resurgent Lampard and this season Van Persie looks to be equal to any two of those mentioned, Vermaellen is up there too. After those players the next tier is pretty much even too, central midfield isn't string anywhere, nobody seems to have two top class strikers, although only Liverpool and Man Utd have spent over 30mil on a player currently getting splinters, but at least Berbatov did something at some stage. The league in general is weaker, it isn't limited to United, in fact they have come out best by consistently beating the weaker teams because they have possibly the best manager in the world at the helm. He is certainly better than Mancini who is currently ahead of him the league, the fact that it is close is a testament to Ferguson, it says nothing about how close the two teams are in quality.

The team is weaker than United teams of old but that has no baring on where we stand right now whatsoever. People go way too far with this, our squad really isn't that bad and if anything we have proven ourselves to have a squad on par or better than City's. Think about it, this season we have had a nightmare time of injuries and yet have continued to win game after game - City lose 2 players and start to have a terrible run.

Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck, Nani, Valencia, Young, Vidic, Rio, Evra, Jones would all walk into the Liverpool team I think. Suarez and Reina are decent players but Suarez is just a poor mans Nani I'm not sure he'd be a starter for United for the simple reason that he doesn't score goals.

The point about United being weaker than previous years and the whole league in general being weaker than previous years is spot on but based on this season we have a much better squad than Liverpool. For me, ourselves and City lead the way in quality, followed closely by Chelsea and Tottenham who are then followed by Arsenal. Liverpool are just outside that bracket and then comes everyone else.

Fergie alone can't responsible for such a huge gap. You said if he was Liverpool manager they would be second, who would have scored all your goals then? would Fergie himself have scored them? It makes no sense.
