Huddersfield Town has today parted company with First Team Manager Lee Clark and his coaching team.

Huddersfield Town Chairman Dean Hoyle said:

"This was a very difficult decision; one not taken lightly or in response to one result. Concerns have been raised over recent weeks.

"Lee and his coaching staff have put their all into the job over the past three seasons and he has made a huge contribution to the Club.

"However with 16 matches to go we still have an opportunity to achieve promotion and we have made this change with this in mind."

Huddersfield Town would like to place on record it's thanks to Lee and his coaching staff and wish them all the best for the future.

Academy Manager Mark Lillis will take temporary charge of the first team until a new manager is appointed.

Wow, my first thoughts were that he wanted another job and when I heard he'd been sacked, I assumed it must have been because he'd applied for another job.
Not at one stage did I think it was to do with footballing issues.

Unbelievable decision from Huddersfield.

Would absolutely piss myself if they don't go up again, especially now.

I'd like to nominate Sam Allardyce as Huddersfield manager.
My own opinion is enough for me, and I claim the right to have it defended against any consensus, any majority, anywhere, anyplace, anytime. And anyone who disagrees with this can pick a number, get in line and kiss my arse. - Christopher Hitchens

3 defeats in 55 league games, however they've had the biggest budget in that league for a couple of years AND all the league games were in the same division. That said I still find it ridiculous as Clark had them playing good football and should have been allowed to finish the season at the very least.
